Be prepared to provide short answers on the following topics:

• Socialist Realism

• Poshlust

• Victor Shklovsky's "Art as Device"

Be able to provide information about the biographies and works of the writers we have read.

Review the lecture material from the midterms, too.

Make sure you can answer a question about the schools of poetry and that you will be able to say how their ideas were reflected in the assigned poetry.

Be able to recognize passages from the works we have read and know who wrote them.

Be prepared to write essays on TWO of the essay topics.
