William Murray at Lubbock Area Veterans Memorial

As the Section Manager of Information Systems at Texas Tech University Independent School District (TTUISD), I've been provided a unique experience able to work with database, server support, networking, and web application design all in a day's work. By utilizing various technologies, TTUISD enables more than twenty thousand students a year to achieve their educational goals.

Before returning to Texas Tech, where I had previously earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management of Information Systems, I worked as a Programmer/Analyst for National Instruments. Prior to that, I served as a Fire Controlman in the U.S. Navy serving on the Aegis Guided Missile Destroyers U.S.S. Stethem and U.S.S. Curtis D. Wilbur.

In May 2012, I graduated with my Master of Science in Computer Information Systems. I have two research areas I focus on, one concerning parametric modeling for project cost estimation and one in object-oriented database design. I play with what is sometimes referred to as Atomic Normal Form or Final Normal Form.
