Community Involvement
William Murray diagnoses network connection problems with a computer at the Parenting Cottage on his lunch break Tuesday afternoon. Murray is being named Young Adult Volunteer of the Year by the Volunteer Center.

William Murray started his community involvement while on active duty in the U.S. Navy volunteering on numerous community projects in many of the third-world countries he visited. His commitment to community service continued as an MIS undergraduate student at Texas Tech from 2005-2008. As a current staff member at Texas Tech, he still an active member in the community, volunteering at several non-profits, providing IT services at no-cost. In 2009 was awarded the "Young Adult Commitment Award". In 2010, he was selected to the "Top 40 Under 40" as a result of his volunteer service.
